Form Studies

Product design

The goal of this exercise was to understand the forms and character of certain objects in our surrounding, through repetitive iterations.
High density thermocol was used to visualize the form in 3 dimension. Through this exercise we were able to perceive the form and understand its properties in detail.

Exploring the form of a simple cube by playing with the edges corners and faces by adding fillets , chamfers and subtracting the volume of the cube.

I also transformed the static form of the cube into a more dynamic form.

The sketch shows the initial set of transitions.
