An entry for a contest, the brief was to create a budget smartphone design for India.

While we kept the budget in mind, we wanted to add the possibility for customisation, both in terms of helpful software features as well as visual and physical upgrades.

The concept we designed was named “Core” for it’s focus on the basics.

The concept features a custom version of Android called “Obsidian OS” that gives the user the information they need when they need it. It also features a magnetic strip on the back that allows the attachment of cases, covers and other accesories that can feature Indian crafts.
